Inspiration Softball Finishes Year as #9 Team in Country

After a fantastic year playing a top 10 strength of schedule and finishing 23-6, Sports Illustrated had ranked us the #9 team in the country!

Big wins vs Calvary, Berkeley Prep, Sarasota, Lake Region, and Bartow propelled our rankings as well as staying tight with a national contending Monte Verde Academy. 
 
The win vs Calvary ended up being their only loss of the season on their way to go 30-1 and winning the 2A State Championship. 
 
Here are some notable stat lines that helped push the team!
 
Elle Hildreth won our MVP award: she threw 134.1 innings and had a 1.3 ERA while striking out a career high 171 hitters. She also batted .273 with a team leading 7 home runs and 37 RBIs.
 
Avery Bouquin hit .416 playing in all 29 games with 15 doubles and 29 RBIs playing a lockdown Shortstop.
 
Alexis McInerney was an excellet table setter as she slapped her way to a .390 batting average and stole 13 bases
 
Jade Carnahan hit a whopping .487 over 13 games played and hit 6 home runs!
 
Emma Szabo hit .340 while also throwing 54 innings with a 3.7 ERA
 
Amelia Mejias hit .329
